Y3Bar Livestock is owned and operated by Lynn Stewart.  We are based out of our new location of Leduc Alberta!  As a smaller breeder, we truly enjoy the luxury of providing individual attention to each and every animal.  We have selected for moderate framed, hard working cows with strong maternal traits.  Our bulls are easy calving, with structurally sound feet and legs and loads of performance and power.  We continually improve our genetics every year, striving to be one of the best Angus herds in Western Canada.  We are fortunate enough to work in conjunction with other Angus breeders, including Diamond H Farms.   

My farm name, Y3Bar Livestock has been a part of my family’s heritage.  The Y3Bar brand has been in the Stewart family since my great-grandfather registered it in 1904.  I am fortunate to be the 4th generation to carry on the Stewart name in the cattle business. 

I am currently employed as an industry analyst for the top Livestock IT firms in North America, having past worked as a ruminant nutrition specialist for a commercial feed mill.  Having obtained my BSc in Agriculture from the University of Alberta,  I am in the final stages of my MSc degree from the Royal Veterinary College at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.  My equine nutrition company, Pace Equine Nutrition, provides practical nutrition solutions for high-performance equine athletes.  I am also an active member in many Angus and other agriculture groups across the province.
